History

The Cosmopolitan rose to fame in the 1990s, popularized by the cocktail renaissance of New York City and famously by the cast of HBO’s Sex and the City. While its exact origins are debated, bartender Toby Cecchini is widely credited with shaping the modern version at the Odeon in Manhattan in 1988. The White Cosmo is a contemporary variation that swaps standard red cranberry juice for white cranberry juice, producing a lighter, less sweet, and more refined drink — ideal for showcasing a clean, premium vodka like MurLarkey Divine Clarity.
