DC Mojito

Fresh mint, lime and lemonade shaken with Divine Clarity Vodka and topped with club soda — a crisp, clean twist on the Cuban classic.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  • Combine Divine Clarity Vodka, lemonade, lime wedges and mint leaves in a shaker with ice
  • Shake well
  • Pour into a highball glass
  • Top with club soda
  • Garnish with a lime wheel and mint

History:

The Mojito traces its roots to Havana, Cuba, where some historians link it to a 16th-century drink of rough cane spirit, lime, sugar and mint known as “El Draque,” after the English sea captain Sir Francis Drake. As Cuban rum became more refined, the drink evolved into the Mojito we know today and became a fixture of Havana bars like La Bodeguita del Medio, later gaining worldwide fame and a lasting association with Ernest Hemingway. The DC Mojito keeps the mint, lime and soda that make the original so refreshing, but swaps the rum for Divine Clarity Vodka and uses lemonade in place of sugar for a cleaner, brighter take on the classic.
