History:
The Margarita is one of the most popular cocktails in the world, though no one agrees on exactly who invented it. Popular stories credit Carlos “Danny” Herrera, who is said to have created it in the late 1930s at his restaurant near Tijuana, and Dallas socialite Margarita Sames, who claimed to have mixed it at a party in Acapulco in 1948. Whatever its origins, the combination of spirit, lime and salt became a classic. This version swaps tequila for Papi’s Salsa Borracha Vodka, whose savory spices give the Margarita a zesty, south-of-the-border kick.
