Assistant Distiller

We are looking for a responsible, reliable, self-motivated and critical thinking part-time Assistant Distiller to join our amazing team.

Job Description:
Requirements and Responsibilities:
  • Work with Head Distiller and follow recipes
  • Load, unload clean and mill grain using a system of augers
  • Perform daily Mashes, fermentations, and distillation
  • Maintain detailed daily records
  • Perform maintenance on equipment
  • Unload, load and fill barrels
  • Analyze spirits coming off the still
  • Fill and empty barrels
  • Blend and package finished product
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be accountable and reliable
  • Must be capable of problem solving
  • Must be detail oriented, efficient and precise
  • Must possess good communication skills and ability to work / interact with customers and coworkers
  • Must be able to work on your feet for the entire shift
  • Must have use of hands and arms for repetitive motions
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without supervision
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with alcoholic beverage production techniques (distillery, brewery, winery, etc.)
  • A passion for craft spirits and farm-to-table driven food program
  • Knowledge of safe laboratory working practices
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled dynamic environment
  • Computer literacy
Education / Experience:
  • High school education or GED required.
  • 2 years similar work experience preferred but not required
  • Strong Problem solving skills
  • Willing to train the right candidate
  • Be available for special training sessions.
  • Day-to-day expectations and duties may change as leadership sees fit
